"It’s nice to meet you, I’m Nate," Tom Holland wrote in his post revealing the first set image of himself as video game icon Nathan Drake. The photo shows Holland in a tan shirt and cargo pants, looking a nearly perfect double for his in-game counterpart.
The release of this image was teased the day before by Holland, as he replied to a post from Uncharted game developer Naughty Dog. That post showed Tom Holland meeting Nolan North, who voices Drake in the video games. The in-person meeting delighted both fans of Holland and the video game.
Do you think Sony would be pissed if I spontaneously uploaded a first look picture. I got Nolan’s approval so I guess they can’t fire me now. https://t.co/Ie99tKLha4

Additionally, they posted two set photos from Uncharted. One of an artifact slotted into a acient wood and metal surface, and another of a book featuring an image of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan with the caption: "Meet the shadowy future without fear and conquer the unknown."
From what we already know, the movie will be a prequel to the Uncharted video game series, with a young Nate Drake accompanied by Victor Sullivan (played by Mark Wahlberg). The plot of the movie is still shrouded in mystery, but if the set photos are a hint, maybe they will be tracking the path of Magellan's first circumnavigation of the Earth in the early 1500's.
Uncharted, which stars Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas, and Tati Gabrielle and is currently set to be released in the summer of 2021.
