ScreenX is the world’s first multi-projection theatre technology that provides moviegoers with a 270-degree panoramic viewing experience by expanding the screen onto the side walls of the auditorium.
The technology behind the experience: ScreenX utilizes an array of projectors on each side of the theater (the specific number of projectors vary depending on the size of the theater). From there, proprietary ScreenX software blends multiple images into one seamless image extending from the center out.
• Projectors: ScreenX utilizes up to twelve additional laser digital projectors to form the wing images
• Sound: ScreenX auditoriums strategically place audio systems and speakers to ensure they do not interfere with the immersive 270-degree experience
• ScreenX “Wings”: ScreenX walls are specifically created and installed with a special fabric which ensures brightness and color to closely match the center screen along the full length of the auditorium
