The IMAX Experience Comes To Waugh Chapel

Maryland loves the big screen, and with our new IMAX theatre at Waugh Chapel Stadium 14, you'll be able to "see more, hear more, and feel more" in every IMAX presentation.
Through the IMAX® Digital projection system this theatre will showcase Hollywood movies that have been digitally re-mastered into IMAX’s format, as well as original documentary-style IMAX content.
Images of exceptional quality, combined with IMAX's proprietary digital surround sound system and patented theatre geometry create “The IMAX Experience®,” making audiences feel as if they are IN the movie. With proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology, some of the biggest Hollywood releases, including The Dark Knight, 300, Spider-Man, Sky Fall 007, The Hobbitt, and many others will be converted into IMAX’s immersive format and presented in IMAX theatres. The IMAX versions of these films have been met with excellent consumer response and critical acclaim.
Regal Waugh Chapel Stadium 14 will of course offer IMAX 3D, as well. When filmmakers choose to integrate IMAX 3D into their movies, images leap off of the screen and into the laps of the audience, further enhancing the feeling of being IN the movie. With IMAX 3D the entire audience may reach out to touch the images that float off the screen!

Theatre Plans Announced for Gambrills, Maryland

Congratulations to The Old Line State! We are proud to announce that Regal Entertainment Group is bringing a 14-screen theatre to the Waugh Chapel Towne Cetre in Gambrillis, MD. At this southern expansion to the Waugh Chapel Village, you can already enjoy a comfortable sidewalk stroll through the courtyard shops and eateries. Regal Cinemas will join over 50 shops, including "a premium mix of lifestyle and service retail with anchor stores, grocery, restaurants and entertainment, including Target and Wegmans."
