Synopsis:

NCM Fathom brings the seventh season of the Metropolitan Opera’s Peabody and Emmy Award-winning series The Met: Live in HD in movie theaters nationwide. The broadcast of Adès’ The Tempest will be presented live for only one day on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 12:55 PM ET / 9:55 AM PT in select movie theaters. Composer Thomas Adès conducts the Metropolitan Opera premiere of his 2004 work, with baritone Simon Keenlyside starring as Prospero, the overthrown Duke of Milan. Director Robert Lepage recreates the interior of 18th-century La Scala in this inventive staging of this famous neoclassical romance.
