Synopsis:

NCM Fathom brings the seventh season of the Metropolitan Opera’s Peabody and Emmy Award-winning series The Met: Live in HD in movie theaters nationwide. The broadcast of Verdi’s Otello will be presented live for only one day on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 12:55 PM ET / 9:55 AM PT in select movie theaters. Verdi’s Shakespearean masterpiece returns to the Met with Johan Botha in the title role, opposite the acclaimed Desdemona of star soprano Renée Fleming. Allow yourself to return to the island of Cyprus during the late 1400s where Falk Struckmann is Iago and Semyon Bychkov conducts.
